On February 5, 2015, the Society of Gynecologic Oncology of Canada (GOC) and the Association of Academic Professionals in Obstetrics and Gynecology of Canada (APOG) announced the winners of the 2014 Program on enhancing competencies in the health advocacy role for residents in obstetrics and gynaecology. The prize in the most innovative and unique project category  went to our residents Mathew Leonardi, Rebecca Rich, and their team for the art event - inSpeculum - they organized in October, 2014, during the Cervix Awareness Week, to raise awareness of cervical cancer.

Congratulations to Mathew and his team on this amazing accomplishment. The award will be presented at the Award Ceremony in Quebec City at the 2015 GOC Annual General Meeting in June, 2015.
