Dr. Stefania Ronzoni delivers grand rounds at University of Milan

Dr. Stefania Ronzoni presents in Milan

Dr. Stefania Ronzoni, associate professor in our Department, was recently invited to deliver grand rounds at the University of Milan, presenting research into Canadian guidelines for the diagnosis and management of preterm prelabour rupture of membranes (PPROM) that she recently published in the Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Canada.

Presenting to an audience of roughly 50 ob-gyn faculty members, residents, medical students, and midwives, Ronzoni’s lecture will be the first in a series of seminars that she delivers as part of the University of Milan’s annual competition for a visiting professor award that she won.

Other topics suggested for future seminars include obesity and preterm birth, fetal metabolism, preeclampsia screening, and physiopathology of preterm birth.

“I was honoured to present my recent work to my former faculty and to compare our experience with theirs on this topic,” Ronzoni said.

“Participating in this lecture series is particularly exciting because the hospital where I gave my talk is where I was born and later trained as a resident.”
