Dr. Cindy Maxwell,the Department's vice chair for equity, diversity, inclusion, Indigeneity and accessibility, recently appeared on CTV's The Social to discuss inequities in healthcare for Black women.
Appearing alongside Dr. Aisha Lofters from the Department of Family and Community Medicine, Dr. Maxwell discussed a range of healthcare issues affecting Black women including higher maternal mortality rates and a lack of access to specialized pregnancy care.
