Department Welcomes Dr. Kimberly Liu as New Head of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility

Headshot of Dr. Kimberly Liu

Headshot of Dr. LiuIt is my distinct pleasure to present Dr. Kimberly Liu as our new Head of the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. Dr. Liu was selected after a competitive international search and replaces Dr. Ted Brown in this role. I want to thank Dr. Brown for his leadership of the division over the past 15 years, and the members of the search committee for their diligent work in the selection process.

Dr. Liu received her MD from the University of Western Ontario and completed her ObGyn residency at the University of Alberta. She then completed her GREI subspecialty training at the University of Toronto, while also earning a Master of Studies in Law. Dr. Liu joined the staff at Mount Sinai Fertility in 2008 and was recently promoted to Associate Professor. She has served as the Program Director of the RCPSC-accredited GREI fellowship program for the past five years, guiding the program through two highly successful accreditation reviews. Dr. Liu has multiple research and educational interests, and has participated in a leadership role in the generation of numerous national clinical guidelines. Her work on the impact of a thin endometrium in IVF outcomes was recognized as one of the top five research papers published in the journal Human Reproduction in 2018. In 2013, she launched the Greater Toronto Area Journal Club for early career REIs, which continues to meet three times a year. More recently, Dr. Liu has assumed the position of Medical Director at Mount Sinai Fertility and also heads the REI Division at Sinai Health.

Please join me in extending a warm welcome to Dr. Liu in her new position.
