With a track record of delivering babies and performing complicated surgeries in the thousands, Dr. Edwards has established herself as an accomplished Clinician/Scientist in the OBGYN field.

After completing her undergraduate degrees (Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Education) she went on to receive her Masters of Science in the field of Reproductive Physiology at Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario.

Honouring her M.D., and Ph.D. in the Department of Physiology at the University of Toronto, she pursued a postdoctoral 2-year fellowship at the same institution in the field of Neuroendocrinology.

She completed her 5-year speciality residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology in Calgary, Alberta. She was promoted as an Associate Professor at the University of Calgary wherein she released several award-winning Publications. She served as part of the Surgical Staff at the Rockyview General Hospital in Calgary for close to two decades, as a high-risk Obstetrician and Gynecologist with a subspeciality interest in prolapse and urine stress incontinence.

Since 2019, Dr. Edwards has been part of the Southlake Regional Hospital in Newmarket, Ontario. She is an advocate focused on advancing Women’s Health and specializes in offering comprehensive care encompassing Pelvic Organ Prolapse, Refractory Menorrhagia, Ovarian & Uterine Masses, High & Low-Risk Obstetrics and Urine Stress Incontinence.

Dr. Edwards is also an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto and McMaster University.
