The University of Toronto's Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology presents Interhospital Rounds on a rotating schedule, in a live lecture format, from a number of Toronto hospitals. In addition to our host sites, the live session is available through the Ontario Telemedicine Network video-conferencing and webcasting systems (see available locations below).

Launch of the GTA Gynaecology Surgical Scorecard

Educational Objectives

  1. Discuss the importance of performance feedback in life and in medicine. 
  2. Understand the steps in creating an ideal Scorecard in Gynaecology. 
  3. Evaluate quality metrics for over 1000 GTA hysterectomies. 
  4. Launch the next iteration of the GTA Gynaecology Surgical Scorecard at 5 Toronto hospitals. 

Speakers

Ally Murji Headshot

 

Dr. Ally Murji graduated from the OB/GYN residency program at University of Toronto. He then completed a two-year fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynaecologic Surgery at McMaster University. His training focused on advanced laparoscopy/ hysteroscopy, endometriosis and outpatient procedures. He also completed a Masters in Public Health from Harvard University. He has a keen interest in outcomes research and quality improvement. Dr. Murji is assistant professor of Obstetrics & Gyneacology at University of Toronto. He is part of the Generalist Division at Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto.

Dr. Lindsay Shirreff graduated from the OB/GYN residency program at the University of Toronto. She then completed fellowships in Minimally Invasive Gynaecologic Surgery at St. Michael’s Hospital and Mature Women’s Health and Menopause at Mount Sinai Hospital. She also completed a Master of Science in Healthcare Quality at Queen’s University. Dr. Shirreff is an assistant professor of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at University of Toronto and is a member of the Generalist Division at Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto.
