Dr. Ted Brown is a reproductive biologist with a primary research interest in the role of steroid hormones and ovulation in ovarian cancer risk and progression. He received his doctorate from the Department of Zoology at Iowa State University under the mentorship of Dr. Jeffrey Blaustein, while completing his doctoral studies at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He completed postdoctoral research training in neuroendocrinology in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Yale University School of Medicine with Drs. Neil MacLusky and Fred Naftolin before joining the faculty in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Toronto as an Assistant Professor. He is a full professor and the Head of the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Senior Investigator at the Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute at Sinai Health Systems. He is cross-appointed to the Institute of Medical Science, the Department of Physiology, and the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology.
