David Rojas
BEng (Hon.), MSc, PhD
David Rojas’ is the Director of Program Evaluation at the MD Program, Temerty Faculty of Medicine, and a Scientist at the Wilson Centre (Centre for Research in Medical Education). His program of research focuses on the evaluation of complex healthcare and educational systems, where he is particularly interested in studying the construct of "emergence" or "unintended consequences" due to the natural unfolding of educational-related systems. David studies the accreditation phenomenon, especially focused on how to capture the impact of accreditation practices and changes to the accreditation processes at a local, national and international level. David also works with the Royal College of Physicians of Canada to design and execute the evaluation plan for their Competency By Design (CBD) implementation and evolutions over the next couple of years. Last, as an engineer, David is passionate about developing physical technologically-enabled simulators and the use of Artificial Intelligence to offer objective feedback, generating an expert-free independent simulation training experience.
