Dr. Zaltz graduated from U of T Medical School in 1982 and completed his residency in Toronto.  He joined the staff of WCH and UofT ObGyn in 1987.  He spent over 20 years involved in Medical Education as the Site Director for postgraduate training at WCH and SHSC before becoming Chief at Sunnybrook. Dr. Zaltz received the Neelam Sierra award for Resident Advocacy in 2012.

Dr. Zaltz was the Site Director for the Twin Birth Study, an international multicenter RCT which was published in the NEJM in 2013 and received the Chairs Award for Outstanding Research Facilitation in 2012.

He practices General Obstetrics and Gynecology and is currently the Chief of the Department of ObGyn and the Head of the Women and Babies Program at Sunnybrook, as well as the Head of Core Obstetrics & Gynaecology Division at the University of Toronto. He is a MAC Chair at Sunnybrook and the Chair of the UofT ObGyn Department Appointments Committee.

His clinical work includes provision of obstetrical and gynaecological care, including pregnancies at risk and MIGS.
